Principal's Message
Port Orange Elementary Families and Community,
It is with great pride and gratitude that I welcome you to another exciting school year at Port Orange Elementary School, where legacy meets innovation!
Established in 1925, Port Orange Elementary has demonstrated over 100 years of excellence in education. Our school has long been a pillar in the community, built on a strong foundation of academic achievement, student growth, and community partnerships. As we move forward, we continue to embrace innovation; through our use of new technologies, we enhance learning and prepare our students for the future.
We are proud to be recognized for our outstanding STEM and Performing Arts programs, and most recently, as a PBIS Model School, a distinction that highlights our commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.
Our success would not be possible without the unwavering support of our families and our incredibly dedicated PTA. Port Orange Elementary’s PTA was recently named the 2024– 2025 Outstanding Program of the Year by the VCCPTA, a powerful testament to how the collective efforts of families can create lasting and meaningful impact in our school and beyond.
In addition to our academic programs, Port Orange Elementary offers a wide range of extracurricular opportunities that allow students to explore their interests and grow as leaders. Students can participate in Safety Patrol, Garden Club, STEM Club, Kindness Club, House Counsel, and much more. Our calendar is filled with exciting events like Spooky Science Night, Family Night at MOAS and Book Bingo, which allow us to connect with families and celebrate learning in fun and meaningful ways.
As we reflect on our rich history and look toward a bright future, I thank you for being part of the Port Orange Elementary family. Together, we will continue to build a supportive, inspiring, and engaging school community for every child.
With appreciation,
Michael Zablo
