Principal's Message

​​​​​Welcome to Port Orange Elementary!  

Our school was built in 1925 and serves 400 students in grades kindergarten through fifth.  We offer services for general education, special education and gifted students.  Though we are one of the oldest school is in the community, we pride ourselves on our innovative use of technology.  We are a Bring Your Own Technology school which means many of our classes permit students to bring electronic devises from home to use during the day.  Port Orange Elementary believes in educating the whole child. We offer many after school enrichment clubs including the Art Club, Run Club, Chorus, Orff, and News Crew​.  We also provide after-school tutoring for targeted students.  If you are looking for a school that encourages family involvement, look no further.  We have an active School Advisory Council and Parent Teacher Association.  Our PTA recently started a Tiger Dads program to encourage fathers to become more in their child's education.  If you would like to learn more about our "B" rated school, please schedule a visit so that I can share more about this unique learning environment.
